If you have more time, head to Kappil Beach, located 7 km from Varkala Beach. Alternatively, check out the Kappil Lake, which is a serene backwater destination. If you have less time, you may skip the Janardana Swamy Temple and visit the Sivagiri Mutt, a famous pilgrimage center in Varkala.
