Soochipara Falls is a must-visit attraction in Wayanad. Also known as Sentinel Rock Waterfalls, it is located amidst lush green forests and provides breathtaking views. The waterfall is a 3-tiered cascade, and trekking through the dense jungle to reach the base of the falls is a memorable experience.
The Dubare Elephant Camp is an elephant training center located on the banks of the Cauvery River in Coorg. Visitors can watch and participate in the bathing, feeding, and brushing of elephants. You can even take a ride on them around the campsite. Apart from elephants, you can also spot crocodiles and birds during the river rafting experience.
Namdroling Monastery, also known as the Golden Temple, is one of the most famous Buddhist Monasteries in India. The monastery's intricate murals and golden statues are awe-inspiring, and the place exudes tranquility and peace. The monastery complex also has guesthouses and restaurants serving delicious Tibetan cuisine.
If you have more time, you can visit the Edakkal Caves in Wayanad, which is a prehistoric site with cave paintings and stone carvings. Alternatively, you can also visit the Nagarhole National Park in Coorg for a wildlife experience. If you have less time, you can skip the Dubare Elephant Camp and visit the Madikeri Fort and Raja's Seat in Coorg instead.
