Start the adventure with a peaceful hike through the lush Munnar Tea Gardens, which spreads out across the hills. The beautiful views and fresh air will make the 1-hour hike worth your while. Along the way, witness the tea-picking in progress and take some memorable pictures. In addition, you can see the old tea-making machines used by the settlers in the early 1800s. Finish the hike with a refreshing cup of tea and snacks in the tea factory.
Saddle up and ride through the scenic Western Ghats to the Top Station. Enjoy the cool breeze and spectacular views of the mountains, the valley and the Kurangani hills that come in the way. Arrive at the Top Station viewpoint and take in the panoramic vista, which includes part of the Tamil Nadu border. Participate in some photo sessions, and refuel with some yummy snacks sold on site. Afterward, zip back to Munnar Town via the same biking route you came.
If you have more time, consider visiting Eravikulam National Park, where you can spot the endangered Nilgiri Thar. If you have less time, skip Top Station for a shorter bike ride to Mattupetty Dam, where you can enjoy the dam's serene ambiance and go boating. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for hiking and biking.
