This includes a variety of exotic plants, as well as several rare species that are endemic to the Nilgiri Mountains. Take a leisurely stroll through the garden and enjoy the colourful flowers and serene atmosphere. Don’t miss the Toda Hill viewpoint, which offers a stunning view of the valley below.
Ooty Lake is a scenic lake in the heart of Ooty. The lake was built by John Sullivan in 1824 and covers an area of about 65 acres. Rent a boat and enjoy a peaceful ride on the calm waters, or take a horseback ride along the shore. Enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding Nilgiri Mountains and the colourful boats floating on the water.
Doddabetta Peak is the highest peak in the Nilgiri Mountains, standing at a height of 2,637 metres. Take a scenic drive to the top of the peak and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. There is also a telescope house at the peak, where you can get a closer view of the surrounding landscapes. Don’t forget to dress warmly, as it can be quite chilly at the top.
Dolphin's Nose is a stunning viewpoint located in Coonoor, about 20 km from Ooty. The viewpoint offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding Nilgiri Mountains and the lush tea gardens below. The viewpoint is named after the rock formation that resembles a dolphin’s nose. Take a scenic drive to the viewpoint and enjoy the stunning scenery.
