2-Day Family Friendly Itinerary in Mysore

  1. Day 1: Mysore Palace

    The Mysore Palace, also known as the Amba Vilas Palace, is a beautiful example of Indo-Saracenic style of architecture. The palace is particularly amazing when the entire palace is illuminated on Sundays and public holidays, between 7:00 PM-7:45 PM. The blend of different architectural styles makes the palace a spectacle to behold. Visitors can see the royal rooms and tools of heritage making. The Krishna Raja Sagara dam is worth visiting and it is a point where we can take a boat ride. Overall, the palace offers a great learning experience for both kids and adults.

  2. Day 2: Mysore Sand Sculpture Museum
    15 minutes (5 km) from Brindavan Gardens

    The Mysore Sand Sculpture Museum exhibits a vast collection of more than 150 sculptures crafted out of sand. Built by M.N Gowri, India's first female sand sculptor, the museum has an Indo-Occidental theme with sculptures of animals, birds and eminent personalities. The exhibits at the museum have created world history by bagging several records in the Limca Book of Records and the Guinness Book of World Records. This museum holds a treasure trove of sand art and is a must-visit for families visiting Mysore.
