Mesmerizing Munnar Honeymoon Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Tea Plantations galore & trek to Lakkam Waterfalls
    Start your day with a visit to Munnar Tea Museum (9:00 am - 5:00 pm) to learn about the history and cultivation process of tea in Munnar. After, head to Kolukkumalai Tea Estate (10:00 am - 5:00 pm) to witness the magnificent tea plantations, followed by a visit to Attukal Waterfalls (9:00 am - 6:00 pm) for a peaceful retreat. Hike to Lakkam Waterfalls in the evening, known for its pristine beauty and calm surroundings.

    Munnar Tea Museum & Kolukkumalai Tea Estate are 8km apart and take an estimated 30 minutes by car. Attukal Waterfalls is approximately a 30-minute drive (9km) from Kolukkumalai Tea Estate. Lakkam Waterfalls are 20 km from Attukal Waterfalls and take around 45 minutes by car.

  2. Day 2: Adventure and scenic views of Munnar
    Start your day at Eravikulam National Park (8:00 am - 4:00 pm), a fine example of the biodiversity of the Western Ghats. Home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr, it also offers stunning views of the valley from atop. Next stop, enjoy a peaceful boat ride to Mattupetty Dam (9:30 am - 5:30 pm) and admire the beauty of this man-made reservoir surrounded by rolling hills. Finish your day with a visit to Top Station (8:00 am - 4:00 pm), the highest point in Munnar offering panoramic views of the Western Ghats and the valley.

    Eravikulam National Park is a 30-minute drive (12km) from the city center. Mattupetty Dam is a 15-minute drive (5.5km) from Eravikulam National Park. Top Station is 37 km from Mattupetty Dam and takes around an hour by car.

  3. Day 3: Exploring tea plantations and religious temples
    Begin your day with a visit to the iconic Meesapulimala (6:00 am - 5:00 pm), the second-highest peak in Kerala, famous for its trekking routes and breathtaking views. Head over to CSI Christ Church (9:00 am - 5:30 pm) - one of the most famous landmarks in Munnar - and admire the architecture of this famous church. Finish the tour with a visit to the beautiful and serene Tea Gardens, where you can also enjoy a delicious cup of tea from the local tea stalls.

    Meesapulimala is a 2-hour drive (30km) from the city center. CSI Christ Church is a 40-minute drive (20km) from Meesapulimala. The Tea Gardens are a 30-minute drive (11km) from CSI Christ Church.
