Visit the Sivagiri Mutt, a spiritual and cultural center located at the top of the Sivagiri Hill. Its beautiful architecture and peaceful surroundings make it the perfect spot to spend an afternoon meditating and reflecting. Also, don't forget to check out the museum displaying the life and teachings of Sri Narayana Guru.
Take a trip to the historic Anjengo Fort, built by the British East India Company in the 17th century. The fort is a unique blend of British and Dutch architectural styles and offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. Also, don't forget to check out the nearby lighthouse.
Varkala has so much to offer that one day might not be enough to see it all. If you have more time, consider spending an additional day exploring the nearby Kappil Beach. However, if you have less time, you can skip Anjengo Fort or Sivagiri Mutt. Don't forget to bring sunscreen, comfortable shoes, and swimming gear!
