Two Days in Nature at Ooty

  1. Day 1: Ooty Lake
    10 minutes (2.2 km) from Ooty Bus Stand

    Ooty Lake is an artificial lake surrounded by mountains and trees - perfect for a relaxing boat ride. Take a paddleboat, rowboat, or motorboat and explore the serene waters. Surrounding the lake, you can also find a few small shops, a mini train, and horse rides. Enjoy a picnic on the lakeshore or at one of the many gardens close by, including the Botanical Garden and Rose Garden.

  2. Day 2: Doddabetta Peak
    30 minutes (10 km) from Ooty Bus Stand

    Head to the highest peak in the Nilgiri Mountain Range, Doddabetta. Take in panoramic views of Ooty and the surrounding mountains from the viewing tower or take a hike or bike ride on the nearby trails. Located in a forest reserve, it is a great spot to catch a glimpse of wildlife or go birdwatching. On your way down, visit the Tea Museum and Factory and discover the history and making of tea in the region.
