Rohtang Pass is a high mountain pass that connects Manali to the Lahaul and Spiti district. Situated at an altitude of 3,978 metres, it offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers. Activities like skiing and sledging can be enjoyed here. Due to heavy snowfall, the pass is open from May to November.
Hadimba Temple is a wooden temple dedicated to the goddess Hadimba, wife of the Pandava Bhima mentioned in the Hindu epic Mahabharata. It is surrounded by lush green forests and was built in 1553 by Raja Bahadur Singh. Visitors can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and breathtaking views.
Solang Valley is a picturesque valley known for its snow-capped peaks and adventure activities. Activities like paragliding, zorbing, and skiing can be enjoyed here. The valley is also home to the Solang Ropeway, which offers panoramic views of the valley from a height of 3200 m. The ropeway runs from May to November.
If you have more time, you can visit other popular attractions like the Manu Temple, Vashisht Temple, and Naggar Castle. If you have less time, you can skip Rohtang Pass and spend more time exploring Manali city. Make sure to carry warm clothes and comfortable footwear. Avoid visiting during monsoon season as the roads can be slippery and dangerous.
