Discovering Darjeeling in 3 Days

  1. Day 1: Sunrise & Trekking
    3.7 km (15 minutes) from Darjeeling town

    Waking up early morning at 4 am is worth it to experience the spectacular sunrise view at the famous Tiger Hill. After that, take a break and indulge in a hot cup of tea and breakfast before trekking the Singhalila National Park where you can experience the exotic flora and fauna of Darjeeling.

  2. Day 2: History & Culture
    2.6 km (11 minutes) from Singhalila National Park

    Start your day by visiting the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and Zoological Park where you can explore the history of mountaineering and see some endangered species of animals. Next, head to the Ghoom Monastery, built-in 1875, popular for its 15-feet high statue of Maitreya Buddha. Lastly, visit Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park and witness the captivating sight of Red Panda, Snow Leopard along with other animals.

  3. Day 3: Tea Estates & Local Market
    11.6 km (25 minutes) from Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park

    On your last day, visit the famous Happy Valley Tea Estate to witness and experience the tea-making process. After that, head towards the Mahakal Market, a street market famous for its handicrafts, souvenirs, spices and clothing. Don't forget to bargain! End your trip by visiting Samsing, Rocky Island Reserve Forest to enjoy the peaceful and picturesque river streams as well as the untouched forests.
