Do stop by the Spice Shop for some authentic Kerala spices to take home.
If you have more time, head over to Mangla Devi Temple, located inside the Periyar National Park, and soak in some peace and tranquility. Alternatively, visit the Kadathanadan Kalari Center to watch a traditional Kalaripayattu martial arts performance. If you have less time, opt for a boat ride across the Periyar lake instead of a guided nature walk or skip the hand feeding activities at the Elephant Junction. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes as the terrain around these places can be slightly uneven. Also, carry sufficient drinking water and sunscreen for sun protection.
