Start your trip at the Victoria Memorial, a striking white marble building dedicated to Queen Victoria. Marvel at the beautiful architecture and lush gardens surrounding the memorial.
Day two takes you to two famous landmarks. The Howrah Bridge is an engineering marvel that spans over the Hooghly River. Take a stroll around the area or grab a bite to eat at one of the nearby food stalls. Next, head to the Dakshineswar Kali Temple, one of the most significant Hindu temples in Kolkata. Marvel at the ornate architecture and get an insight into the Hindu religion.
Day three begins at the Indian Museum, the largest and oldest museum in India that houses over 100,000 artifacts. Here, you'll find everything from fossils to Egyptian Mummies. Later, make your way to St. Paul's Cathedral, an impressive domed church that is an important part of Kolkata’s colonial history.
End your trip with a visit to the Mother House, the headquarters of the Missionaries of Charity founded by Mother Teresa. Discover the inspiring life of Mother Teresa and view her tomb. In the evening, head to Park Street, Kolkata’s food and entertainment hub and try some Bengali cuisine or catch a movie.
If you have extra time, consider visiting the Marble Palace, Birla Temple, or Science City. For those with less time, consider merging days two and three and visiting both landmarks in one day. You can also skip Park Street if you're on a tight budget.
