Begin the day with a refreshing walk along Coaker's Walk. This one-kilometer path provides breathtaking views of the lush valleys, surrounding villages and the distant mountains. Take your time to appreciate the natural beauty and capture some great photos.
Next, head to the Kodaikanal Lake and rent a boat to paddle around the scenic lake. The serene surroundings of the lake with green hills and tall trees make for an ideal spot for a picnic. A cycling track is also available around the lake for those who prefer a more rigorous physical activity.
Finally, end your day with a visit to Pillar Rocks Viewpoint, offering a spectacular view of the pillars - three giant rock formations standing vertically side by side. The surrounding valley is equally mesmerizing. You can also indulge in some local snacks and tea at the nearby food stalls.
Start the second day with a visit to Dolphin's Nose, a flat rock protruding over an overlooking deep valley. The view of the valley from here is simply magnificent. The spot is named so, as the rock formation looks like a dolphin's nose.
On the way back to the city, stop by the Bear Shola Falls. This natural waterfall amidst the forest is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the natural beauty. The sound of the water cascading down the rocks, the fresh breeze and the lush foliage make this spot a heaven on earth.
If you have more time, you can visit the Bryant Park, Silver Cascade Falls and Green Valley Viewpoint. For those who love adventure, trekking in the surrounding hills is an option. On the other hand, if you have only one day, consider visiting the Kodaikanal Solar Observatory and Pine Forest over Coaker's Walk and Bear Shola Falls.
