Useful Tips for more or less than 5 days

If you have more time, add an extra day in Kuala Lumpur to visit Bukit Bintang for shopping and Chinatown for the local culture experience. You can also add a day trip from Penang to the beautiful Langkawi Island or enjoy the pristine beaches of Redang Island. If you have less time, cut a day off from Malacca and Langkawi Island to have a more relaxed trip and stick to just Kuala Lumpur and Penang.
