    On the second day, visit the Ponnumthuruthu Island, a serene and tranquil island situated in the backwaters. After spending a few hours on the island, head towards Kappil Beach, a beautiful and secluded beach situated near the backwaters. If you have less time, skip the Ponnumthuruthu Island and directly head towards Kappil Beach. You can also visit the Sivagiri Mutt, located near Varkala. It is a spiritual center and a memorial to the social reformer, Sree Narayana Guru.
