Begin your trip by exploring the historical Madikeri Fort, which was built by Muddu Raja in the late 17th century. Afterward, make your way to Raja's Seat, a beautiful garden with breathtaking views of the surrounding hills. This is also a great spot to catch the sunset. There are plenty of restaurants nearby where you can grab a bite to eat.
Start your day by visiting Dubare Elephant Camp, where you can ride and bathe elephants in the river. Next, make your way to Abbey Falls, a stunning waterfall that is surrounded by lush greenery. There are several hikes and viewpoints nearby, so this is a great spot for nature lovers. Afterward, head back to town and enjoy a night out at one of Coorg's many bars or clubs.
On your last day, head to Talacauvery, which is considered the source of the sacred river Cauvery. There is a beautiful temple and a stunning view of the surrounding mountains. Next, make your way to Namdroling Monastery, the largest Tibetan settlement in India. This is a great spot for some quiet reflection and to learn about Tibetan culture. Finally, head back to town for a last night of partying before your trip ends.
If you have more time, consider visiting the coffee plantations for a tour or tasting. If you have less time, you could skip Talacauvery and spend more time exploring Madikeri or Abbey Falls. You can also rent a car or hire a driver to make getting around easier.
