You can also take a boat ride in the Pykara Lake situated near the falls and indulge in some photography. This location closes at sunset, so make sure to reach before 5 PM.
Avalanche Lake, located at a 1-hour trek from the Avalanche Forest Reserve, is a must-visit location for nature enthusiasts. Glistening with the bright reflection of mountains and trees, it's a perfect spot for picnics and leisurely swims. The Lake is open for visitors only till 5 PM, so make sure you arrive befoe 3 PM for ample sightseeing.
Visit the highest mountain peak in the Nilgiri Mountain Range, Doddabetta. It’s at an elevation of 2623 meters, and from the top, you can witness the panoramic view of the Nilgiri Hills. On a clear day, one could spot faraway Coimbatore city also. Though the location is open throughout the year, it can get pretty crowded, so try early morning or late afternoon and check for the crowds.
If you have additional time, you can visit the Government Botanical Garden, located 20 minutes from Doddabetta. Additionally, if you have less time, you can visit Deer Park, which showcases the beauty of nature with all its colors and moods in just 2-3 hours. Also, arrive as early as possible at the locations as they tend to get crowded during peak hours and check the opening and closing times of the places to avoid any disappointment when you arrive.
