The Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected wildlife reserve located at the foothills of the Western Ghats. The sanctuary is spread over an area of 211 sq km and is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna including the black panther, flying squirrel, Malabar giant squirrel, Indian rock python, and king cobra. The Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary is also home to several waterfalls, including the famous Netravali waterfall. Visitors can take a trek to the waterfall or take a guided nature walk in the sanctuary. The sanctuary is open from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm every day.
The Dudhsagar Falls is a four-tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River. The falls are one of the tallest waterfalls in India and are surrounded by a lush green forest. Visitors can take a trek to the waterfall or take a dip in the pool at the base of the falls. The Dudhsagar Falls are open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm every day except on public holidays.
The Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary is a protected bird sanctuary located on the western tip of the Chorao Island. The sanctuary is home to a wide variety of birds including the little bittern, black bittern, and red knot. Visitors can take a guided nature walk in the sanctuary or explore the sanctuary by boat. The Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary is open from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm every day.
The Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected wildlife reserve located in the Canacona Taluka of South Goa. The sanctuary is home to a wide variety of birds and animals including the Indian pangolin, flying squirrel, and slender loris. Visitors can take a guided nature walk in the sanctuary or explore the sanctuary on their own. The Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary is open from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm every day.
