Start your trip by visiting the Varkala Beach. It's located at the bottom of the cliff and great for surfing, swimming or simply catching some rays. Then head to the Kappil Beach- a secluded haven that's perfect for capturing the sunset. Top it off by visiting the Anjengo Fort- a historic site built by the British East India Company and now home to a serene beach.
Start your morning by trying some of the local cuisine. Head to a spot like The Juice Shack to start your day with a refreshing juice drink or grab some authentic South Indian food at the Sanctum Cafe. In the evening, visit the Cliff Beach area for some party vibes. The vibrant bars and restaurants over here are sure to get you in the right mood to let loose and party hard.
Ever dreamed of surfing in the ocean? Head to the Black Beach and try your hand at some adventurous water activities like surfing, snorkelling and jet skiing. Post the water activities, unwind and have fun by playing beach volleyball, cricket or football with your group. You can also try your hand in some beachside yoga, to calm the excitement of the day.
On the last day of your trip, head to the Kollam Backwaters. Enjoy the views and serenity by renting a houseboat for a day. This will permit you to travel through the small canals and view the village lifestyle and wildlife from close proximity. Enjoy a quick swim in the backwaters before you head to try some delicious seafood preparations in a local restaurant.
If you have more time, visit some unique places like the Vishnu Temple with your mates or try your luck buying some souvenirs at the Flea Market. However, if you have less time then you can visit the Janardana Swamy Temple and take blessings from Lord Vishnu and Goddess Laxmi. Or simply add another day to your trip to truly experience the beaches and party scene to the fullest.
