Baba Dhansar is a beautiful waterfall located in a small village near Katra. Legend has it that a saint named Baba Dhansar performed penance here, and the cave where he lived can still be seen. The waterfall is surrounded by lush greenery, and the sound of the waterfall is soothing to the ears. There are multiple small shops selling snacks and souvenirs near the waterfall.
If you have more time, you can explore the town of Katra. There are multiple shops and restaurants, and the local street food is delicious. You can also visit the Banganga Temple, located in the town. If you have less time, you can skip Baba Dhansar and spend more time at Vaishno Devi. Keep in mind that the trek to Vaishno Devi can be physically demanding, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry enough water.
