Two-Day Adventure Itinerary in Wayanad

  1. Day 1: Trek to Chembra Peak

    Trek to the Chembra Peak, the highest peak in Wayanad. The trek is a 3-kilometer moderate to difficult hike, and it takes around 3 hours to reach the summit. Once you get there, you will be greeted with a beautiful heart-shaped lake called the "Hridhayathadakam", which will mesmerize you with its scenic beauty. After enjoying the view, head over to Meenmutty Falls, a major tourist attraction, and cascade-type falls that flow down from a height of about 300 meters.

  2. Day 2: Bamboo Rafting in Kuruva Island
    50 minutes (22 km) from Kalpetta

    Start your day with an exhilarating bamboo rafting experience in Kuruva Island, a protected river delta that boasts of some of the most exotic flora and fauna in the region. The boat ride is around 2 hours long, and you will get to witness some of the most beautiful landscapes, clear waters, and greenery. After the ride, head over to Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary, one of the finest wildlife sanctuaries in Kerala, where you can indulge in some wildlife spotting, nature photography, and wildlife safaris.

You can also visit the Chain Tree, a popular legend that narrates the story of a British Colonel, who killed a local Adivasi tribesman and was haunted by his spirit, leading to many paranormal occurrences. If you have less time, you can skip the wildlife sanctuary or one of the waterfalls.
