Start your trip by hitting the beach. North Cliff Beach is one of Varkala's top attractions. With its golden sand and clear blue water, it is a great place to relax and have fun with your friends. You can try surfing, parasailing or simply walk around and explore the beauty of this place. There are plenty of beach shacks and cafes where you can drink and dine, and enjoy the beautiful view of the Arabian Sea. You can also watch the sunset amidst the palm trees before heading to your next destination.
Start your day by visiting the ancient Janardhana Swamy Temple. This is a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is one of the oldest temples in the country. Be amazed by the intricate architecture and the serene atmosphere of the temple. After the temple, you can walk to the nearby market where you can buy souvenirs and local handicrafts. You can also try out some local cuisine at one of the many street food stalls. End your day by partying all night at one of the beach clubs or shacks on Varkala Beach.
If you have more time, you can try taking a boat ride to explore the backwaters. If you have less time, you can skip visiting the market and head straight to the beach. Make sure to wear comfortable clothes and sunscreen, and carry enough water to keep yourself hydrated.
