  • Day 1: Lisbon

Transportation

For this 10-day itinerary, we recommend flying in and out of Lisbon Portela Airport. We suggest renting a car for the day trips to Sintra, Évora, Aveiro and Costa Nova. For transportation within the cities, we recommend using public transportation, including trams and buses. Estimated travel costs are €150 per person for car rentals and €30 per person for public transportation.

Useful Tips

If you have more time, we recommend adding a visit to the beautiful beaches of the Algarve region in southern Portugal. If you have less time, we suggest cutting the day trip to Évora and spending an extra day in Lisbon or Porto.

Lisbon Portela Airport (LIS) is the main airport in Portugal and is located 7km north of the city centre. Seville Airport (SVQ) is located 10km north-east of the city centre and offers flights to destinations across Europe.
