Begin your day by visiting the iconic Mughal Gardens built during the Mughal era, featuring terraced lawns, decorated fountains and flowerbeds. More like a paradise on earth this garden opens at 9 AM and remains open till 7 PM. After relishing the beauty of these gardens for two hours, head straight to the Dal Lake for a Shikara ride. Enjoy the mesmerizing views of the Zabarwan Hills, take a stroll in the floating markets and cafes during this two-hour ride. Finally, visit the Hari Parbat Fort in the evening hours to witness the fort's ancient architecture and scenic views of the city.
On your second day, make an early start to reach Gulmarg for the Gondola ride (opens at 9 AM). The journey of the Gondola will be breathtaking, and as you reach the peak point, you can see the snow-covered mountains and the picturesque surroundings. Post this, visit the historic St. Mary's Church, which is surrounded by lush greenery and has a 19th-century architecture. End your day with adventure activities like skiing, snowboarding and trekking, which are available at various levels.
Start your day by visiting the beautiful Betaab Valley which offers breathtaking views of mountains, rivers, and meadows. Moving ahead, witness the Aru Valley nestled amidst the tall conifers and mountains. It's an excellent place for trekking and camping. Finally, visit the Lidder Amusement Park, which is famous for its scenic beauty, adventurous experiences, and entertainment facilities. Enjoy the various offerings like swings, go-karting, horse riding, etc.
If you have more time, do not miss the opportunity to explore the Tarsar Lake trek, Naranag Ruins, and the Yousmarg Tourist Village. If you have less time, skip Lidder Amusement Park in Pahalgam. Also, note that most of the places would take a lot of walking, ensure adequate rest and hydration. Kashmir is predominantly a cash economy; carry enough cash and keep all documents handy.
