Start the day with a visit to the Kudle Beach, known for its pristine shorelines and surfing culture. After your morning dip, hike 2km to Half Moon Beach, where snorkelling and other water sports are available. Enjoy a sumptuous seafood lunch at the beach shacks, then continue your adventure with a visit to Om Beach. This beach is famous for its unusual shape that together forms the Om symbol, and is perfect for swimming or just relaxing on the shore. If you have time and energy, walk 3 km to Paradise Beach, which is famous for its secluded coves, stunning sunset and night parties.
Start your day with a trek along the coast to the Mahabaleshwara Temple, which is famous for its Dravidian architectural style and ancient history. After your visit, continue your trek to visit Mirjan Fort, which offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Arabian Sea, then head back to Gokarna. In the afternoon, visit the Maha Ganapati Temple, dedicated to Lord Ganesha and beautifully decorated with ancient carvings and decorations. Take a dip in the holy waters of Kotitirtha, which is a small pond for devotees to wash their sins. End the day with a stunning sunset view on the climb to the top of the rugged Kumara Parvatha.
If you have more time, you can add visits to other beaches like Belekan Beach, Shiva Cave and Honey Beach, which are nearby. If you have less time, you can skip Paradise Beach and devote more time to the Mahabaleshwara Temple complex. Beware of monkeys on the trek route, carry ample water and use sunscreen.
