  1. Day 1: Madikeri Fort
    5 minutes (1.2 km) from Raja's Seat

    Visit the historic Madikeri Fort, originally built in the late 17th century and rebuilt in the 19th century. The fort contains a palace, a temple, a museum and a prison. The structure of the fort reflects a mix of Hindu and Islamic styles of architecture. Explore the spacious and well-laid out fort and see the beautiful lattice windows and carvings. Be sure to visit the museum which contains artefacts from the Kodava kingdom.

  2. Day 1: Raja's Seat
    4 minutes (1 km) from Madikeri Fort

    Head towards Raja's Seat, a popular garden with a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. The garden is named after Kings who used to enjoy the scenic view. Take a walk in the beautiful garden, explore the musical fountains and enjoy the panoramic view of the Western Ghats. The best time to visit is early morning or late evening when it is less crowded.

  3. Day 2: Abbey Falls
    40 minutes (20 km) from Raja's Seat

    Visit the magnificent Abbey falls, surrounded by lush green coffee plantations and spice gardens. The waterfall cascades from a height of 70 feet into a pool. Listen to the sound of the water and take in the beauty of the surroundings. The area is well maintained with plenty of seating areas and small shops selling souvenirs and snacks.

  4. Day 2: Omkareshwara Temple
    10 minutes (3.5 km) from Abbey Falls

    End your trip with a visit to Omkareshwara Temple, a Hindu temple with a distinct mix of Islamic and Gothic styles of architecture. The temple has a beautiful pond in the centre and is surrounded by greenery. Take a stroll around the temple as you appreciate its unique architecture.
