You can also indulge in water sports, including jet-skiing and banana boat rides, or take a boating excursion to Paradise Beach.
Starting with Half-Moon Beach, named after its unique shape. It's a tiny cove flanked by hills that becomes an island at high tide. Spend some time here before heading to Paradise Beach, known for its crystal clear water and soft sand. Paradise Beach can be reached only by boat or by trekking through the forest, making it a more secluded and private spot.
Head towards Vibhuti Waterfall, surrounded by dense jungle and offers a calm environment. Take a refreshing dip in the falls before heading to Mirjan Fort, located near the banks of the Aganashini River. The fort is known for its architectural design, which features multiple openings for canons, providing a panoramic view.
Make your way towards Yana Caves, known for its unique rock formations, located in a lush forest. Trek through the forest, surrounded by hills overlooking a picturesque valley, to the limestone caves. The caves feature two distinct rock outcrops known as the Bhairaveshwara Shikhara and the Mohini Shikhara.
If you have more time, you can add a visit to the Mahabaleshwara Temple, located just 6.4 km away from Gokarna center. If you’re interested in surfing, head to Kudle Beach, located just 6.7 km from Om Beach.
If you have less time, you can consider skipping Vibhuti Waterfall and Mirjan Fort. Alternatively, if you’re not fond of trekking, you can consider the Banana Boat ride instead of visiting Half-moon beach.
