Dubare Elephant Camp is a unique and adventurous experience where you can interact with elephants and even go on an elephant ride. Watch the elephants being bathed, fed and trained by their mahouts. You can also take a coracle ride down the gentle river and enjoy the lush greenery around you.
A scenic waterfalls that is surrounded by lush greenery and coffee plantations. One has to walk through a narrow pathway to reach the falls. The icy-cold water will refresh you after the walk. One can see the water gushing down from a hill; it is a beautiful sight.
Raja's Seat is a beautiful garden located in Madikeri town. It is a popular sunset point offering scenic views of mountains and valleys. There is also a musical fountain show in the evening which is a must-watch.
Talacauvery is the origin of the river Kaveri and is located amidst picturesque mountains and greenery. You can also visit Bhagamandala temple which is nearby and see the confluence of three rivers - Kaveri, Kannika and Sujyothi. The temples architecture is unique and worth observing.
Namdroling Monastery is the largest teaching centre of the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism in the world. You can see hundreds of monks in their maroon robes and prayer flags fluttering in the wind. The Golden Temple inside the monastery is striking and deserves a visit.
If you have more time, you can add a visit to the Nagarhole National Park or the Iruppu Falls to your itinerary. If you have less time, you can skip visiting Bhagamandala and spend less time at Dubare Elephant Camp or Raja's Seat.
