Murudeshwar, a coastal town, is home to the second-tallest statue of Lord Shiva in the world, a massive 123-feet structure. The temple complex also houses a beautiful shrine dedicated to Lord Murudeshwar. Take a leisurely stroll on the peaceful Murudeshwar beach surrounded by the Arabian sea.
Gokarna is known for its pristine beaches and scenic beach treks. Start your trek from Kudle beach, which is a 25-minute drive from your hotel. Trek to Om beach and Half-moon beach, which are great for picnics and swims. End your trek at the secluded Paradise beach, surrounded by hills on three sides and the Arabian Sea on the other. Take a long swim in the turquoise blue waters of Paradise beach while enjoying the serene view.
If you have more time to spare, head to Kudle beach or Gokarna beach for some surfing lessons or to just lounge around in the sun. For foodies, try some of the delectable local seafood at the shacks and restaurants around Murudeshwar and Gokarna beaches. If you have less time, skip Murudeshwar and head to Gokarna for a beach day and trek. Don't forget to wear comfortable shoes for the trek and carry water bottles and snacks.
