Four-day Family-Friendly Itinerary for Kedarnath

  1. Day 1: Kedarnath Temple

The trek to Vasuki Tal is challenging, but the sight of the snow-covered mountains, waterfalls, and lush meadows makes it worthwhile. The lake is surrounded by a dense forest of rhododendrons and junipers and is believed to be a source of the Vasuki Ganga, one of the tributaries of the Ganges.

  4. Day 4: Shankaracharya Samadhi
    Located approximately 1.5 km (20-minute walk) from Kedarnath Temple

    The Shankaracharya Samadhi is a shrine dedicated to Adi Shankaracharya, a philosopher and theologian who is credited with unifying and re-establishing various sects in Hinduism. The shrine is surrounded by the Mandakini River and offers a serene atmosphere for meditation and introspection. The samadhi also provides a panoramic view of the Kedarnath valley.
