The best time to visit is from October to May, when the weather is pleasant. Trekking is not allowed during the monsoon season due to the heavy flow of water.
The Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary is a paradise for nature lovers and bird watchers. It covers an area of 1.8 sq km, home to over 400 species of birds, making it a bird-watcher's dream. The Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected forest area that is home to a variety of wildlife species such as Goan tiger, Indian bison, flying squirrel, spotted deer, and many more. The sanctuary offers a trekking tour that takes about 2-3 hours to explore the forest. It also has a nature trail and a watchtower for bird lovers. The sanctuary is open from 7 am to 5 pm.
The Palolem Beach is located in the extreme south of Goa and is known as one of the most beautiful beaches in Goa.
