Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada is home to over 16,000 aquatic animals from around the world, and is an excellent educational and interactive experience for the whole family. The aquarium features touch tanks and daily shows, as well as a moving sidewalk through the Dangerous Lagoon tunnel, which is home to a variety of large sea creatures.
The Toronto Zoo is Canada’s premier zoo and home to over 5,000 animals, including of giant pandas, polar bears, and tigers. The zoo is divided into several regions covering Africa, Americas, Australasia, Canadian, Eurasia, and the Tundra Trek. Visitors can also take part in a behind-the-scenes tour to learn more about the animals and their conservation.
Canada’s Wonderland is the country's premier amusement park with over 200 attractions, including 70 thrill rides and a splash park. The park features several themed areas, including International Street, Medieval Faire, and Planet Snoopy. Adrenaline junkies will appreciate the coasters, such as the 306-foot-tall Yukon Striker coaster. Visitors can also experience live entertainment, such as musical shows and street performers.
If you have more time, consider visiting the Art Gallery of Ontario or visiting the CN Tower, where you can take in panoramic views of the city. Alternatively, take a day trip to the nearby Niagara Falls, a stunning natural wonder located just outside Toronto. If you have less time, consider skipping the Toronto Zoo or Canada’s Wonderland, or visiting them on weekdays to avoid peak weekend crowds.
