Known as the Land of Radha Krishna, Vrindavan is a small town famous for its temples and ghats. Start your day with a visit to Banke Bihari Temple which is dedicated to Lord Krishna. Head towards Radha Raman Temple to witness the famous shringar of the deity. Conclude your day with a scenic view of the sunset at the Kesi Ghat.
Home to the famous Govardhan Hill, Goverdhan is a beautiful town located near Mathura. Start your day early in the morning by visiting the Govardhan Hill, which is believed to have been lifted by Lord Krishna. Later, visit the Radha Kund and Shyam Kund, two sacred lakes that have mythological significance.
A small town located near Mathura, Barsana is believed to be the birthplace of Radha- the consort of Lord Krishna. Visit the famous Radha Rani Temple, which is dedicated to Radha and is famous for its Lathmar Holi celebrations. Head towards the Maa Katyayani Temple to seek the blessings of Goddess Katyayani.
A small town located near Mathura, Nandgaon is believed to be the place where Lord Krishna spent his childhood. Start your day by visiting the famous Nand Bhavan Temple, which is dedicated to Nanda Maharaj- the foster father of Lord Krishna. Later, visit the Pan Sarovar Lake, which is a beautiful spot for a peaceful and serene evening.
If you have more time, make sure to visit Rangji Temple and Iskcon Temple in Vrindavan. You can also do a day trip to Agra to witness the magnificent Taj Mahal. If you have less time, you can skip out on Barsana and Nandgaon and spend an additional day in Mathura and Vrindavan. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes as you will be doing a lot of walking.
