Start your day early by taking a guided tour of one of the many tea plantations in Munnar. Learn about the history and cultivation of tea in this region while enjoying breathtaking views of the hills. Afterward, head to Echo Point, a serene lake in the midst of lush greenery. This spot is perfect for relaxing and immersing yourself in nature. Don't forget to try the local delicacies at the small vendors nearby.
Today, head to Mattupetty Dam, one of the most popular tourist spots in Munnar. Enjoy a boat ride on the dam's tranquil waters while taking in the stunning views of the Western Ghats. Then, visit Kundala Lake, an idyllic spot surrounded by hills. You can go for a relaxing walk around the lake or try your hand at trout fishing. Before heading back to town, stop by the local fruit and vegetable market to sample some of the freshest produce.
For those with more time, consider visiting Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. If you have less time, skip Echo Point and spend more time at the tea plantation or Kundala Lake. Be aware that some attractions may be closed during peak monsoon season (June-August).
