It has over 700 species of flowering plants, trees, and shrubs. Visitors can stroll through the park, take pictures, and enjoy the flower show that happens in May every year.
Coaker's Walk is a beautiful 1-kilometer-long pedestrian path that offers stunning views of the valley, mountains, and forests. The walkway has several viewpoints, including Telescope House, which has a telescope for visitors to get a closer look at the scenery. The walk is also surrounded by vendors selling souvenirs and snacks.
The Pine Forest is a serene and peaceful place where visitors can, take a walk or sit on the benches provided, all amidst the lofty pine trees, which are over 100 years old. It is perfect for nature lovers and photobugs. The pine needle-covered forest floor gives off a pleasant and refreshing aroma.
Dolphin's Nose is a rock projection that extends over a wide canyon. It provides a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and valleys, including the famous Catherine Falls. There is also a small trek involved in reaching the viewpoint. The elongated rock formation's shape resembles a dolphin's nose and is hence named the same.
Pillar Rocks is a scenic spot in Kodaikanal famous for its unique pillar-shaped rock formations. These three adjoining vertical granite boulders stand at a height of around 400 feet and are a popular spot for photography. The surrounding views ofm the misty valley's and mountains enveloped in the clouds have a mysterious charm that is sure to mesmerize you.
If you have more time, you can visit the Kodaikanal Lake or Bear Shola Falls on Day 1. Day 2 can include a visit to the Berijam Lake and Guna Cave. If you have less time, you can skip Dolphin's Nose. Keep in mind that some places may have long queues during peak tourist season, and plan accordingly.
