2-Day Itinerary for Puducherry

  1. Day 1: Auroville
    20 minutes (7 km) from Puducherry

    Auroville, also known as the City of Dawn, is a unique experimental township located just outside of Puducherry. Founded in 1968, Auroville is a global community that aims to promote peace, harmony and sustainable living. Take a guided tour of the township, visit the Matrimandir (a large golden sphere that serves as a meditation centre), explore the unique architecture and indulge in delicious organic food at one of the many cafes.

  2. Day 1: Paradise Beach
    30 minutes (12 km) from Auroville

    One of the most beautiful beaches in Puducherry, Paradise Beach is a hidden gem only accessible by boat. The beach is surrounded by palm trees and crystal clear waters, and there are plenty of water sports available for adrenaline junkies. Take a dip in the ocean, relax on the pristine sands, and watch the sunset over the horizon.

  3. Day 2: Sri Aurobindo Ashram
    5 minutes (1.5 km) from Puducherry

    The Sri Aurobindo Ashram was founded in 1926 by Sri Aurobindo and his companion, The Mother. The Ashram is a spiritual community that follows the teachings of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother. Explore the serene atmosphere, view the exhibitions and archives, attend the collective meditation, and shop at the boutique to experience peace and spirituality.

  4. Day 2: Puducherry Museum
    10 minutes (2.8 km) from Sri Aurobindo Ashram

    Located in the heart of Puducherry, the Puducherry Museum is a true reflection of the rich cultural heritage of the region. The museum houses a variety of exhibits, including sculptures, paintings, manuscripts and other artifacts that showcase the history, culture and art of Puducherry. The French colonial architecture will make the trip more relaxing and peaceful.
