After spending some time here, head over to Anjengo Fort and travel back in time to the Dutch and British colonial era. The fort has a fascinating history and offers panoramic views of the Arabian Sea.
Janardhana Swamy Temple is a beautiful ancient temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple architecture is awe-inspiring and there is a tranquil pond nearby where you can relax. After visiting the temple, head over to Papasnanam Beach for some quiet time and a dip in the ocean.
No trip to Varkala is complete without a visit to the famous Varkala Cliff. The cliff offers panoramic views of the Arabian Sea and is perfect for a leisurely stroll. After spending some time here, head over to Sivagiri Mutt which is a spiritual and cultural center built in memory of Sri Narayana Guru. If you have less time, skip Anjengo Fort and visit Varkala Cliff on the same day as Varkala Beach.
