The tranquil waters of the dam, surrounded by lush green hills, offer picturesque views and fantastic photo opportunities. You can take a leisurely walk around the dam or enjoy boating in the placid waters of Mattupetty Dam. If you're lucky, you might spot some wildlife in the area, including elephants and langurs. Make sure to visit the nearby Mattupetty Dairy Farm, where you can taste and buy some of the delicious dairy products produced here.
Munnar is known for its picturesque tea gardens, which offer stunning views and an insight into the tea-making process.
