Kodaikanal Lake is one of the star attractions of Kodaikanal. This man-made lake was built in 1863 and extends over 60 acres. You can take a leisurely boat ride on the lake or simply walk around taking in the scenic views. There are many stalls around the lake where you can try out some delicious street food.
Bryant Park is a botanical park located near Kodaikanal Lake. The park has a huge collection of trees, shrubs, and flowers, including a 20-million-year-old fossilized tree. You can take a relaxing stroll around the park, admiring the various collections of plants. There is also a small nursery where you can buy some exotic plants to take home as souvenirs.
If you have more time, you can visit other attractions such as Pillar Rocks and Coaker's Walk. If you have less time, you may need to choose between Kodaikanal Lake and Bryant Park. Also, keep in mind that Kodaikanal can get chilly in August, so do carry some warm clothes.
