For travel within cities, walking and public transportation (such as metro or bus) are recommended. Trains are a convenient and affordable option for traveling between cities. Car rentals are also available for exploring the countryside, but driving in cities can be challenging and parking can be expensive. Taxis and Ubers are also available, but can be more costly. Keep in mind that many historic city centers are pedestrian-only and not accessible by car.
If you want to spend more time in Venice, consider skipping the Amalfi Coast day trip. If you want to explore more of Tuscany, add an extra day to your itinerary.
