Brahma Temple is one of the few existing Hindu temples dedicated to the Hindu creator-god Brahma. This temple is built of marble and stone stabs with a distinctive red pinnacle (shikhara). The temple has a special devotional significance among Hindus and is a must-visit.
Pushkar Lake, also known as Tirtha Raj or the king of the holy pilgrim sites, is a stunning oasis in the middle of the desert town of Pushkar. Take in the tranquil and serene ambience surrounding the lake and visit some temples surrounding the lake.
Take a 20-minute walk to Aloo Baba, the potato baba. He has been living in Pushkar since the '70s and is popular for offering free meals to travelers. Aloo Baba offers an unmatched experience of interacting with sadhus and embracing their minimalistic lifestyle. Don’t forget to say an honest thank you before departing!
Allow yourself to soar high like a bird and enjoy the endless views of the Golden Thar Desert. Opting for a hot air balloon ride will give you a unique perspective of the city and will rejuvenate you from the heat in a way you won't forget easily.
Savitri Temple, perched atop a hill, offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the whole town, Pushkar Lake and the surrounding sand dunes. Catch the sunset from the top of the temple and witness the town being lit up during the transition from day to night.
This itinerary is planned for a full and relaxed day without tiring yourself out. However, if you are up for more adventure, you could visit Kalbeliya Tribal Village early in the morning between 7-9 AM (since you are an early bird!), and then head towards Brahma Temple. In case you are short of time, you can skip the visits to Aloo Baba and Savitri Temple.
