    The Guna Caves are naturally formed hidden caves that were made famous by the film “Guna”. The caves are full of natural beauty and are accessible after a short trek from the main road. The cave system is extensive, and visitors can spend hours exploring the caves and its surroundings. A torch, comfortable sports shoes and loose clothing are essential to explore the caves and the surrounding area safely. The caves are open from 9 am to 5 pm every day.

  3. Day 2: Pine Forest
    20 minutes (7.5km) from Kodaikanal Bus Stand

    The Pine Forest is a must-see for nature lovers. The forest is surrounded by tall, abundant pine trees, with pine cones and needles littering the forest floor. The pines sway in the breeze, giving off a pleasant scent, and the silence in the air is therapeutic. Visitors can rent bicycles and ride through the forest, enjoying the surreal location. The forest is open from 8 am to 7 pm every day.

  4. Day 2: Dolphin Nose
    1 hour 20 minutes (35km) from Pine Forest

    Dolphin Nose is a stunning viewpoint from where visitors can view the hazy mountains and hills. The viewpoint is on a cliff that resembles a dolphin's nose, hence the name. A small trek to the viewpoint is a must, with natural beauty everywhere one turns. Some stalls sell souvenirs and snacks here. Highly recommended to plan the visit early to avoid crowds and traffic. Dolphin Nose is open from 6 am to 6 pm.

The best time to trek in Kodaikanal is during the monsoons from June to September. For a less adventurous day, visit the Kurinji Andavar Temple, Bryant Park or Coaker's Walk. May is a peak season, so expect long queues and lots of foot traffic. Carry comfortable walking shoes, insect repellent, sunscreen lotion, and have cash on hand to pay for entry to some sights and attractions.
