6-Day Manali Itinerary for June 2023

  1. Day 1: Hadimba Temple
    20 minutes (3.5 km) from Manali Bus Stand

    Begin your trip with a visit to the Hadimba Temple, built in the 16th century. Surrounded by cedar forest, it has a stunning temple architecture consisting of wood and brass carvings depicting Hindu mythology. You can explore the temple, bask in the serene setting or take a walk around Van Vihar which is adjacent to the temple complex.

  2. Day 2: Solang Valley
    30 minutes (14 km) from Hadimba Temple

    Away from the hustle and bustle of Manali, Solang Valley offers picturesque sights of snow-capped mountains and serene glaciers. Try your hand at adventure sports like skiing, paragliding and zorbing. You can also take a horse ride through the valley or proceed for a day-long hiking expedition. Avoid visiting the valley on Tuesdays as it is closed for maintenance.

  3. Day 3: Rohtang Pass
    2.5 hours (52 km) from Solang Valley

    Tower over the mighty Himalayas at the Rohtang Pass, which connects Kullu to Lahaul and offers panoramic views of the mountains. The pass is open for visitors between June and October, weather permitting. You can explore the Beas Kund Trek, or ride a snow scooter on the snow-covered roads. Remember to rent snow gear before ascending as it's chilly at the summit.

  4. Day 4: Vashisht Baths
    1 hour (15 km) from Rohtang Pass

    Take a dip in the natural hot springs at the Vashisht Baths, known for their therapeutic properties. The water finds its source in the three main springs that are rich in minarals. The popular bath house is a great spot to unwind and relax. You can also visit the nearby Rama Temple, a beautiful wooden structure standing on a stone platform.

  5. Day 5: Manikaran Gurudwara
    2 hours (79 km) from Vashisht Baths

    Drive to the peaceful town of Manikaran and visit the famous Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara. It is visited by Sikh and Hindu pilgrims in large numbers. Known for its hot springs and beautiful nature settings, the town is also home to several temples and a serene Gurudwara. Take a dip in the hot water springs and be sure to try the Langar from the Gurudwara.

  6. Day 6: Naggar Castle
    45 minutes (24 km) from Manikaran Gurudwara

    On your last day, visit the Naggar Castle, a place of historical significance. Built-in the 15th century by King Sidh Singh, the castle has been remodelled and converted into a heritage hotel. You can tour the castle and visit the art gallery, displaying masterpieces of Russian painter Nicholas Roerich. Enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding Kullu Valley.
