Today, we fly from Kathmandu to Lukla, a small town in the Khumbu region. The scenic flight offers stunning views of the Himalayas. Upon landing in Lukla, we begin our trek to Phakding, a village situated at an altitude of 2,652m. The trail passes through picturesque landscapes, suspension bridges, and charming Sherpa villages. In the evening, relax and enjoy the serene surroundings of Phakding.
After breakfast, we continue our trek along the Dudh Kosi River, passing through lush forests and crossing suspension bridges. The trail gradually ascends, offering breathtaking views of the snow-capped peaks. We reach Namche Bazaar, the gateway to Everest, situated at an altitude of 3,440m. Explore the vibrant market, visit the local monastery, and enjoy stunning mountain panoramas.
Today is a rest day to acclimatize to the high altitude. Explore the charming streets of Namche Bazaar, visit the Sherpa Cultural Museum, and enjoy panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam from Syangboche Airport, the world's highest airstrip. You can also opt for a hike to Everest View Hotel, which offers incredible vistas of the surrounding peaks. In the evening, relax and prepare for the next day's trek.
While in Kathmandu, don't miss the opportunity to visit the ancient city of Bhaktapur. Known for its well-preserved architecture and rich cultural heritage, Bhaktapur offers a glimpse into Nepal's history.
