Ooty: A One-Day Itinerary

The Tea Factory and Museum showcases how tea is processed and offers visitors a chance to taste some unique blends. The museum contains a wide range of old photographs, items, and machinery related to the history and production of tea in Ooty.

    The Botanical Gardens are spread across 55 acres and are famous for their exotic collection of plants and trees. Apart from the flora, there is a beautiful Italian garden and a mini train ride for children.

    Pykara is a scenic natural destination near Ooty, known for its waterfalls and lake. Pykara Lake is a man-made lake spreading across 62 acres, ideal for boating, and surrounded by lush greenery. Pykara Falls is a popular tourist destination located nearby with water falling from 55 meters height. The falls are a popular picnic spot and offer a picturesque view.

    30 minutes (20 km) from Pykara Lake and Pykara Falls

    Ooty Lake is an artificial lake that spreads over two and a half kilometers surrounded by eucalyptus trees. Visitors can enjoy a boat ride across the lake. The lake also has a children's park with a mini train ride. The view of the lake at sunset is breathtaking and is a perfect way to end a day in Ooty.
