2-Day Hyderabad City Experience Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Charminar
    15 minutes (3.2 km) from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport

    Start your tour with the iconic monument of Hyderabad - the Charminar. This monument was built in the 16th century and is located in the heart of the old city. Take a walk around the monument and make sure to stop and grab some local snacks and Chai at one of the stalls nearby. You can also shop for souvenirs, clothes, and jewelry at the Laad Bazaar located near the Charminar.

  2. Day 1: Chowmahalla Palace
    20 minutes (4.9 km) from Charminar

    After a visit to the Charminar, head over to the Chowmahalla Palace, which was once the residence of the Nizams of Hyderabad. The palace has beautiful architecture, grand halls, and heritage collections. Make sure to also visit the Vintage Car museum inside the palace compound.

  3. Day 1: Golconda Fort
    25 minutes (9.2 km) from Chowmahalla Palace

    End your day with a visit to the Golconda Fort, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The fort has a complex system of acoustics, palaces, and ingenious water supply system, which is still functional to this day. Make sure to take a guided tour to learn more about the history and stories of this fort. Make sure to also be there for the light & sound show in the evening.

  4. Day 2: Salar Jung Museum
    20 minutes (6.5 km) from Golconda Fort

    Start your day 2 with a visit to the Salar Jung Museum, which houses the largest one-man collection of antiques in the world. The museum has a collection of over a million objects, and you could easily spend half a day exploring the galleries and admiring the various artifacts collected from across the world.

  5. Day 2: Qutub Shahi Tombs
    45 minutes (10 km) from Salar Jung Museum

    The Qutub Shahi Tombs is another heritage site in Hyderabad that houses the tombs of the Qutub Shahi rulers. These tombs were built by the rulers themselves, and they feature Islamic architectural styles. Take a guided tour to learn more about the history of these tombs.

  6. Day 2: Hussain Sagar Lake
    25 minutes (6.4 km) from Qutub Shahi Tombs

    End your Hyderabad tour with a visit to the Hussain Sagar Lake, which is a large artificial lake that was built in the 16th century. Take a boat ride to the 18-meter tall statue of Gautam Buddha, located in the center of the lake. You can enjoy the beautiful view of the lake from one of the various cafes and restaurants located along the shoreline.
