Located in the eastern part of Kodaikanal, Dolphin's Nose Viewpoint gives you a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The hike starts from the road that goes towards Berijam Lake, and takes around 45 minutes through a dense forest with a few steep climbs. The view from the top is well worth the effort.
Located on the Moir Point Road, Guna Caves are caves formed between two large rock formations which can only be entered with a guide. A little further down the same road is the Pine Forest, a dense and peaceful forest that is ideal for long walks.
Perumal Peak is Kodaikanal's third highest peak, towering at 2400 meters above sea level. The trek starts from the Kuthiraiyar Dam and takes around 4 hours to complete, with a moderate level of difficulty. The trek takes you through lush green vegetation and stunning views of the valley below.
If you have more time, there are several other places to visit in Kodaikanal such as Berijam Lake, Coaker's Walk and Pillar Rocks. If you have less time, skip the trek to Perumal Peak and spend an extra day exploring the other places within the city.
