  1. Day 1: Mahabaleshwara Temple

    Start your day by visiting the ancient Mahabaleshwara Temple, one of the main pilgrimage sites in Gokarna.     Gokarna Beach is famous for its scenic beauty and is also a popular pilgrimage destination. Take a dip in the pristine waters, relax on the beach, and witness the mesmerising sunrise and sunset views. You can also explore the nearby Shiva Cave and Koti Tirtha which are considered holy by Hindus.

  4. Day 2: Mirjan Fort
    40 minutes (18.2 km) from Gokarna Beach

    Take a break from the beach and visit the historic Mirjan Fort, known for its architecture and rich history. The fort was built in the 16th century by the Queen of Gersoppa and has four levels, a moat and bastions. It served as a strategic defence point for the rulers of the Vijaynagara Empire and played a crucial role in the war against the Dutch. Climb to the top for stunning panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

  5. Day 3: Yana Caves
    1 hour 10 minutes (50.4 km) from Mirjan Fort

    On your final day, visit the unique Yana Caves nestled in the Western Ghats. The caves have stunning rock formations and limestone structures, and are believed to be over 250 million years old. The two main rock outcrops here are named as Bhairaveshwara Shikhara and Mohini Shikhara.
