  1. Day 1: Humayun's Tomb

    Start your trip with Humayun's Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important Mughal monuments. Built in the 16th century, it is the final resting place of the Mughal Emperor Humayun. Explore the gardens and the tombs of other Mughal emperors nearby. You can easily spend a few hours here enjoying the beautiful architecture and landscaping.

  2. Day 2: Taj Mahal and Agra Fort

    A day trip to Agra is a must-do when in India. You'll board a train from New Delhi and reach Agra in a couple of hours. It is an ivory-white marble mausoleum built in the 17th century by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. From there, head over to Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, built in the 16th century that served as the main residence of the Mughal emperors until the capital moved to Delhi. This gigantic structure, made from red sandstone, will take you straight back in time as you explore its various palaces and gardens.

  3. Day 3: Akshardham Temple and Lotus Temple
    30-minute drive (9 miles) from Karol Bagh

    On your last day, visit two of the most beautiful temples in New Delhi. Start with Akshardham Temple, a Hindu temple known for its intricate carvings and architecture. This temple is designed to showcase Hinduism's ancient traditions and contributions to the world through art, exhibitions, and multimedia technology. For your last stop, visit Lotus Temple, a Bahai House of Worship notable for its unique lotus flower-inspired design, the temple opens at 12:30 PM, so it's better to schedule your visit accordingly. This temple welcomes guests from all religions for individual prayer, silent meditation, or simply to admire its beauty.
