  1. Day 1: Mysore Palace

    Start your Mysore trip with a visit to the Mysore Palace. This opulent palace is famous for its grand architecture and is a distinctive symbol of the city. Enjoy a guided tour through the halls, ballroom, and gardens. Make sure to be there for the light and sound show which depicts the palace's history.

  2. Day 2: Chamundeshwari Temple
    20 minutes (6.7 km) from the Mysore Palace

    Located on the top of Chamundi Hills, Chamundeshwari Temple is a significant Hindu shrine. The temple dates back to the 12th century and is dedicated to the goddess Durga or Chamundeshwari. The temple offers a fantastic panoramic view of Mysore city. Make sure to climb the 1000 steps to the temple for a fantastic experience, or you can take the ropeway.

  3. Day 3: Brindavan Gardens
    30 minutes (18 km) from the Chamundeshwari Temple

    Brindavan Gardens is the perfect place to relax after a hectic day of sightseeing. Located on the banks of the KRS Dam reservoir, these beautiful gardens contain colourful fountains, well-manicured lawns and musical fountains. If you are in Mysore during a weekend, you can attend a cultural show at the amphitheatre on Saturdays and Sundays.

Useful tips

If you have more time, you can visit the Mysore Zoo, which is one of the oldest zoos in India and is home to a wide variety of animals. You can also visit the Jaganmohan Palace and Art Gallery, which displays an impressive collection of artefacts, including beautiful paintings. If you have less time, skip Chamundeshwari Temple and head straight to Brindavan Gardens or Mysore Zoo.
